Day1

Arrival at Colombo Airport.Our representative meet at airport and travel to one of the leading Ayurveda Resort in Yapahuwa Kingdom.En route visit Dabadeniya and Paduwasnuwara.King Vijayabahu III is the first king of Dambadeniya kingdom. Native Sinhalese began to move to the south or Maya rata because of the hard Tamil ruler Kalinga Magha as mentioned in Polonnaruwa kingdom. While he was the king of Polonnaruwa, king Vijayabahu III (a descendant of king Sirisangabo) became the king of Dambadeniya.
Panduwasnuwara is a significant archeological site located in the Kurunegala District. According to the ancient geographic divisions Panduwasnuwara is considered to be the capital of the Maya country. The palace of King Parakramabahu is the utmost significant construction in the Panduwasnuwara archeological site and it also caught the attention of many academics around the globe.This palace was built in the 12th century.According to the view of Prof. Paranavithana this palace was used by the Sri Lankan royal family more than 100 years. Yapahuwa Rock Fortress and Ayurveda treatment. Third day Tour start Yapahuwa Kingdom.The Yapahuwa rock and its surrounding area became the capital of the island for a short time in the 13th century. It is known that King Buvanaikabahu 1 (1273-1284) made this rock, rising loftily out of the outskirts of Kurunegala his capital.Yapahuwa was one of the ephemeral capitals of medieval Sri Lanka. The citadel of Yapahuwa lying midway between Kurunagala and Anuradhapura was built around a huge granite rock rising abruptly almost a hundred meters above the surrounding lowlands.The Rock Fortress Complex of Yapahuwa is renowned as one of the best archeological site in the country. It is even rumored to be more significant than The Rock Fortress in Sigiriya.Evening feel the magic of Ayurveda Treatment.

Day4

Anuradhapura Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya and Mihintale. After the Breakfast proceeds to Anuradhapura.This Sacred City of Anuradhapura is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.Anuradhapara was established around 3rd century B.C. The city is one of the principal shrines of Buddhism. The cutting from the fig tree of Buddha brought there in the 3rd century BC.This was the first established Kingdom in ancient Sri Lanka.This is founded by King Pandukabhaya. In 377 BC. Anuradhapura, is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka.Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya, Ruwanwelisaya(Dagoba), Jetavana stupas, Lovamahapaya and many more large stupas. Anuradhapura city was in dry zone and rulers constructed large lakes to irrigate paddy lands and water supply to the city.Abhyagiri stupas,Twin ponds, Thuparamaya, Stone carving of Isurumuniya lovers, Mirisawetiya stupas,Magul Uyana, Rathna prasadaya, Vessagiriya, Brazen Palace,Ranmasu Uyana and many more to visit.Evening will return back to Habarana.En route visit Mihintale.Buddhism was first introduced to Sri Lanka on the mountain of Mihintale in the year 247 BC on a Full Moon Day which is called Poson Poya.Mihintale architectural feats are mainly visible in Aradanagala,the Cave of Arahat Mahinda,Kaludiya Pokuna,Kantaka Chaitiya and at ancient Hospital.There are 1840 Stone steps leading to the summit and Mihintale rock over 1080 feet is high.Evening get the Ayurveda Treatment.Over night stay at Ayurveda Resort,Maho.

Day5

Resvehera Monastery .Today will visit Resweruwa Temple,Sesseruwa Ruin,Gallena Vihare Temple,Yoda Ela Canal,Sinhagiri Vihare Temple.King Devanampiyatissa had planted a Bo tree in the premises in 237 BE (around 307 BC) (Buddhist Era). The rocky Buddha statue that is 42ft 4in in height is believed to have been carved by King Mahasen sometime in 276-303 AD. King Walagamba (89-77 BC or 104 BC) had later added two cave temples. There are 99 caves with drip edges where some 365 Arhath Monks had stayed. During Kandyan Era, the last Sinhala King, Weera Parakrama Narendrasinghe had renovated the temple and the complex. The wall paintings depict the stories from the Jathaka Book such as Kakkata, Dahamsonda & Manichora. Further there’s an 11.07m long sleeping Buddha statue that is the only one of its kind in the whole world. The statue had been moulded using clay and then covered with a real cotton robe before completing the statue with colors and design.Evening get the Ayurveda Treatment.Over night stay at Ayurveda Resort,Maho.

Rambodagala Samadhi Buddha Statue.Today tour start early and travel to Ridigama via Kurunegala and visit Ethagala,Thampana lake,Ridi Viharaya, Rambodagala Samadhi Buddha Statue(World’s Tallest Granite Samadhi Buddha Statue),Bathalagoda Tank and Bagadamuwa Forest Reserve.Kurunegala is a major city in Sri Lanka. It is the capital city of the North Western Province and the Kurunegala District.Kurunegala- towered by the elephant rock and named after the giant elephant shaped rock which stands over its men and township, Kurunegala enjoys a pleasant location overlooked by huge rocky outcrops.Having ascended to Sri Lanka’s capital city in the 13 th Century due to invasions of Aryachakrwarthi, it remained a citadel for a century until losing its glory to Gampola. Today Kurunegala is a transit city on road and railway on the way to Anuradhapura, Kandy, Puttalam, Trincomalee and Negombo.Ruins of the once glorious Panduwasnuwara, Dambadeniya and Yapahuwa too are located as the testaments of ancient Hasthishailapura. Ritigala Forest Monastery and Dambulla Golden Cave Temple & Rock TempleAfter early breakfast proceed to the Ritigala.Ritigala is the highest range of hills in Sri Lanka’s so-called Cultural Triangle, which was the core region of the ancient and medieval Sinhalese civilization. In Ritigala there was one of the most important monasteries of austere forest monks. It also served as a pilgrim’s place and had a hospital for Ayurvedic treatment, because the Ritigala hills are famous for their abundance of medical plants.after will visit Pink Quartz Range and Aukana.Then proceed to Damdulla. This ancient place has been a sacred place since the second century BC.The Golden Temple of Dambulla is an important Buddhist shrine and monastery. The Rock Temple (Rangiri Dambulla Rajamaha Viharaya)and The Golden Temple(Rangiri Dambulla Uyanwatta Rajamaha Viharaya) are interconnected temples with single administration.The temple is composed of five caves and collection of 157 valuable statues.These five caves are Deva Raja Viharaya,Maha Raja Viharaya(Temple Of the Great King)Maha Aluth Viharaya,Pascima Viharaya and Devana Aluth Viharaya.The caves are decorated with religious and secular paintings from the 15th and 16th century.Evening visit Hurulu Eco Park and afterwords you can do Elephant Ride. Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Polonnaruwa.Sigiriya Rock Fortress of Sri Lanka is situated in Matale district near Dambulla. Sigiriya is famous for its palace ruins on top of a massive 200 meter(660 ft) high rock surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs and other structures. There are about 1200 steps. The rock itself is a lava plug left over from an ancient long extinct volcano. It is also renowned for its ancient paintings (frescoes), which are similar to those found at Ajanta Caves in India. It is generally agreed, however, that the Sigiriya Frescoes exhibit a uniquely Sri Lankan style.More mysteries of Sigiriya are Frescoes,The Mirror Wall,Cobra Hood Cave,The Water Gardens,The Boulder Gardens,The Terraced Gardens.It is one of the eight World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. Temple Of The Tooth Relic(Sri Dalada Maligawa).After Breakfast Travel to Kandy.En route visit Matale Spice Gardern,Nalanda Gedige. Evening visit Temple of The Tooth and Kandy Dance.Kandy is a UNESCO world heritage site.This is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka.Kandy was the capital of ancient Sri lanka from 1592 to 1815,reigned by many great Kings. The temple opined as the heart of the Kandy city. The sacred tooth relic was received to Sri lanka about 16 centuries ago. Kandy is beautiful city is located in the foothills of central highlands, surrounded by hills and valleys, rivers, lakes and cascading waterfalls.This is located in the mountainous and thickly forested interior of the island.The city is located in between multiple mountain ranges including the Knuckles mountain range and the Hanthana Mountain Range, giving the city an elevation of 500 meters (1,600 ft) above sea level.Over Night at Kandy.

Day11

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.Today will visit Embekke, Gadaladeniya and Lankathilake and Royal Botanical Garden.First travel to Pinnawala via Kadugannawa. Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village.The orphanage is open to the visitors from 8.30 am. The bottle feeding to the baby wild elephants is begun at about 9 o’clock. Around 10 o’clock the herds of elephants leave to river for the baths. You can feed the wild elephants and touch them. Many travelers regularly visit the place to enjoy elephant rides. Here you can see a lot of fun bathing and odd elephant playing and enjoying the baths at Maha oya. Mostly Children love to see this event. The herds return to the orphanage at 12 o’clock. Again the bottle feeding is done at 13.15.Evening way back to Kandy will visit Embekke devalaya,Gadaladeniya and Lankathilake and Royal Botanical Garden.Embekke Devale, famed for its elaborate finest woodcarvings, pillars and other structures.The Botanical Garden at Peradeniya was formally established in 1843 with plants brought from Kew Garden, Slave Island, Colombo, and the Kalutara Garden in Kalutara.The origins of the Botanic Gardens date as far back as 1371 when King Wickramabahu III ascended the throne and kept court at Peradeniya near Mahaweli river. Queen Victoria Park,Georgy Lake.Today start Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda Falls.Nuwara Eliya is a city in the Hill Country of Sri Lanka with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate.it the name ‘Little England’.Nuwara Eliya is a mountain station at 1,868 m (6,128 ft) of altitude, in a splendid landscape. The city pretends to be particularly well-kept and neat, and the always green grass gives to the locality an aspect of “colonial British style”. Ramboda Falls is 109m high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world. It is situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. It formed by Panna Oya which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya.Evening visit Queen Victoria Park and Georgy Lake.The Victoria Park of Nuwara Eliya said to be named to com orate the 60th Jubilee Coronation of Queen Victoria in the year 1897. Originally the park was used as the research field of Haggala Botanical Garden which is located about 04 km away from the city center.It is known that this park was established by planting an Oak tree by a German Princes who visited Nuwara Eliya at the latter part of the 19th Century.Gregory Lake was build under the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. This is the most prominent attraction in Nuwara Eliya and all the vistors used to come here and spent some time by the lake and relax. This was used as a place for water sports and for re-recreational activities during the British time. Graory lake gets crowded during the April tourist season. Nuwara Eliya – Horton Plains – Nuwara Eliya.After the Breakfast visit Hakgala Botanical Garden,Nuwara Eliya Golf Club,
City Viewing Point – Shanthipura Village,Lover’s Leep Falls,Devon Falls,Horton Plains National Park.This National Park is the only Nations Park situated in the hill country.The panoramic beauty of the hill country is witnessed within the park. The Plains are a beautiful, silent, strange world with some excellent walks.The Horton Plains National Park positioned at the eastern boundaries of the Upper Montana Forest Range (1500m-2524m above sea level) of Central Highland of Sri Lanka. The plateau of Horton Plains which is at a nominal elevation of 2100 m also bears the 2nd and the 3rd highest peaks of Sri Lanka, namely Kirigalpoththa (2389m) and Totupolakanda(2357m). The area of the Horton Plains is 3160 ha. or 31.6 sq. km. and is about 8% of the total upper Montana forests and grasslands of Sri Lanka.Hakgala Botanical Garden is one of the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. The other four are Peradeniya Botanical Garden, Henarathgoda Botanical Garden, Mirijjawila Botanical Garden and Seetawaka Botanical Garden.Devon Falls, located 6 Km west of Thalawakelle and its sharp drop from 97 meters.(318 ft.).
